cererune initiative

vocasynthesia is pleased to announce a cererune song contest for an album! if you'd like to be part of the vocasynthesia initiative, but are unable to host an album, this is a wonderful opportunity!

  • one grand prize winner will receive $100 canadian, a spot on the album, and a remix from keyesgen.

  • each person selected to be on the album will receive $25 canadian, with no limit on amount of accepted songs.

  • entries are due september 30th 2026 at 11:59 Eastern Daylight Time. (convert to your timezone)

please note the following guidelines when creating and submitting your song.

  • you must have a paypal account to receive any payment. if you do not have a paypal, you can submit, but please note you would not be eligible for the grand prize and i would have no way to pay you, though you can be included on the album.

  • submissions must be an original song not previously published. remakes, remixes, and covers will not be permitted.

  • collaborations are permitted, but only one person can receive payment.

  • songs must follow cererune's terms of service. his terms of service can be found in voicebank downloads and on his website.

  • cererune must be the main vocalist. any additional vocalists can be used for harmonies, ad-libs, samples, or vocal chops, and need to be noted when submitting.

  • plagiarism is not permitted and will cause immediate disqualification.

  • generative ai (in either song or art) is not permitted and will cause immediate disqualification.

  • producer alias

  • link to song's public upload

  • song's audio file, unmastered (wav preferred)

  • song's ust or ustx file

vocasynthesia is a digital distribution initiative for collaborative compilation vocal synth albums run by keyesgen. these albums are notoriously tricky to figure out with distributors and have limited options.

keyesgen has had an interest in the backend of these services for years, and has experimented with multiple providers with his own discography to find the best one.

put simply, the goal of vocasynthesia is to make digital distribution a factor that album directors don't need to worry about!

are you interested in distributing your next project through vocasynthesia? please include the information below when emailing, and i'll reach back out to you. distribution metadata (songwriters, track order, etc) is not required during the application process.

  • the current status of the album, such as how much work has been completed.

  • a list of all collaborators, including but not limited to producers, tuners, mixing/mastering engineers, and artists drawing the album artwork.

  • a date the final masters are due, and the date the album goes live. this should be ideally at least a month, but at minimum two weeks.

  • if the project head is an adult or a minor.

  • if available, an audio example of 1-3 tracks on the album.

please note the following special cases as well when applying.

  • vocal synthesizers will not be listed as primary or featured artists on the project. if you require this, please note you would need to provide all masters and assets at a minimum of 60 days before release, and this also limits international streaming options. i would avoid this unless it is an absolute must.

  • if you would like project head keyesgen to be a producer on your album, please include it in your message. please note that he may not be able to produce for every album due to his schedule and will only produce for albums led by adults.
